Manually Fed Woodchippers
This course introduces trainees to the maintenance and safe use of manually fed woodchippers.

This 1-day course will cover a range of topics including:
- Legislation
- Risk Assessment including work site planning
- PPE and First Aid Provision
- Equipment overview
- Pre use inspection and operational safety checks and maintenance of the machine, including the cutting mechanism
- Procedures for removing blockages
- Machine operation using correct techniques for chipping brash and timber sections
- Machine transportation and manoeuvring

- On successful completion of the training, a Lantra Awards certificate will be issued
- Following successful completion of the training, Treepartner Training Ltd can organise the related City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Manually Fed Woodchipper (Qualification No:0020-58)
