Trimmer/Brush-Cutter Combined
This course introduces trainees to trimming and brush cutting techniques using a range of grass trimming and brush cutting heads including battery powered and petrol drive machines.

This 2-day course will cover a range of topics including:
- Legislation
- Risk Assessment
- PPE and First Aid Provision
- Equipment overview
- Maintenance of petrol driven and battery powered machines
- Maintenance of string trimmer heads including replacement of trimmer line
- Maintenance of grass and shredder blades
- Cutting head selection appropriate to the task and conditions
- Worksite planning and organisation
- Machine harness set up and adjustments for correct balance
- Machine operation (battery and petrol driven)
- Techniques for cutting grass and non-woody overgrowth

- On successful completion of the training, a Lantra Awards certificate will be issued
- Following successful completion of the training, Treepartner Training Ltd can organise the related City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Certificate of Competence in the Safe Use of Brush-Cutters and Trimmers (Qualification No: 0014-26)
