CT1
Working at Height in Trees – Compliance with the Work at Height Regulations
This one day course caters for climbers and individuals who are managing and/or working at height in the tree care industry. It offers guidance on understanding and meeting the obligations of the Work at Height Regulation. It aims to provide guidance using Treepartner Training’s interpretation of the WAHR, alongside clarification of the Arboricultural Association’s interpretation of the regulations, as presented in their Technical Guides.

Introduction to Mechanical Climbing Devices (including stationary and moving rope positioning techniques)
Options include: Rock Exotica Akimbo, Petzl Zig Zag/Chicane, Notch Rope Runner Pro, FTC Freexion and ISC Rope Wrench/Apex
This two-day course covers a range of topics including:
- Climbing devices and components overview
- Equipment inspection and maintenance
- Neighbouring component compatibility and configuration
- Systems setup and operation for working in the crown and on vertical stem wood
- Basic rescue solutions
CT3
Ascent and Work Positioning Techniques Update
This two-day course provides update training for experienced climbers wishing to improve their existing techniques or seeking an overview of recent developments. It includes stationary and moving rope work positioning techniques.
CT4
Work Positioning and Rescue Techniques on Vertical Stem Wood
This one-day course provides an opportunity to develop work positioning techniques using spikes and rescue techniques on vertical stem wood, with the aim of improving confidence, efficiency and safety on work sites. This course is an ideal update prior to participating in our Tree Dismantling Operations course (A04).

Introduction to the Maintenance, Set-up and Operation of Lifting & Lowering Devices e.g. GRCS (Good Rigging Control System) and FTC Mini/Micro
This one-day course is intended to give an overview of the maintenance, set up and operation of lifting and lowering devices e.g. GRCS (Good Rigging Control System) and FTC Mini & Micro. It covers the planning and managing of lifting operations and provides an overview of anticipated forces experienced during rigging operations. It is an ideal course for individuals considering purchasing a device, or teams wishing to improve control and safety during dismantling operations.

Rigging Forces
This two-day course will introduce the use of the LINEGRIP Linescale-3 Dynamometer. It will provide operator feedback for estimating the weight of sections and the forces anticipated in a range of rigging scenarios. Establishing ‘worst case’ scenario peak forces is an important factor when selecting rigging components capable of accommodating these forces whilst maintaining sufficient safety margins.
Day One: Classroom based
Day Two: On site practical rigging (vertical stem wood)

Portable Industrial Power Winch
This one-day course will cover a range of topics including:
- Legislation
- Risk Assessment including site zonation, planning and communication
- Winch and components overview
- System design, neighbouring component compatibility
- Set up and operation of a power winch for moving timber
Following successful completion of any Continuation Training Course, a Treepartner Training Record of Training and Achievement (certificate) will be issued.
