Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue

This course introduces trainees to the main principles of tree climbing  and will enable a range of rescue techniques to be performed from different tree structures.

This 5-day course will cover the following topics:
  • Legislation
  • Risk Assessment including site zonation and communication
  • PPE and First Aid Provision
  • Tree care overview (understanding the importance of appropriate work position techniques and their significance in relation to good tree care practice)
  • Visual tree assessment
  • Climbing system selection, inspection, and system design
  • Ascent and work positioning techniques within the crown and on vertical stem wood
  • Range of rescue techniques
  • Deinstalling and retrieving climbing systems

Notes

  • On completion of the training, a Treepartner Training Record of Training and Achievement (certificate) will be issued
  • Following successful completion of the training, Treepartner Training Ltd can organise the related City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue (Qualification No: 0039-22)
