Maintenance and Operation of GRCS (Good Rigging Control System) and FTC Mini/Micro

This short course is designed to provide an overview of the correct maintenance, set up and operation of a range of rigging devices. It is aimed at Thorough Examiners, existing and prospective owners of these devices and anyone wishing to coordinate and improve load control during dismantling operations.

This 1-day course will cover a range of topics including:
  • Legislation
  • Risk Assessment including site zonation and communication
  • Inspection and maintenance of a range of rigging devices
  • Introduction to servicing the Harken winch (GRCS)
  • Overview of planning and managing lifting operations
  • Rigging device installation techniques
  • Introduction to correct operating techniques including the lifting and lowering of loads where applicable
